Building safe homes for the impoverished families of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico through an immersion program enabling Mexicans to begin living a dignified life in their own country.

Many people/families live in homes made of cardboard, pallets, car hoods or whatever material they can find.

Crews volunteer and work together with staff from Southern Exposure to build these people a new home constructed of cinder block walls, windows, doors and roof made of 2 x 6 wooden truss', 4 x 8 sheets of plywood covered with roofing paper, tar and then outdoor carpet. Usually it takes $3,500 in materials and about 12 people 1 week to build a home.
